This recoil spring is a key component of the track adjuster assembly on Fits John Deere (Fits JD) G-Series and H/J/K-Series crawler dozers and loaders. Mounted within the track tension system on the undercarriage, the recoil spring absorbs shock loads transmitted through the front idler, protecting the track frame and undercarriage components from impact damage. Each machine requires two (2) recoil springs. The uncompressed length of this spring is 16-7/8 inches (429 mm).
