This holds the lower steering shaft in mesh with the sector gear. It is not a mower deck spindle support or a drive shaft support. When it wears, the large bore goes oblong and the steering gets sloppy. Measure the 0.720 in large bore to confirm the fit. It is non-handed, one per mower.

Fits many AYP-built lawn tractors sold under the Craftsman and Poulan brands (generally 2001 and earlier steering), including Craftsman 917.257360. Crosses Oregon 76-042, Rotary 13225.
