This track adjuster rod (also referenced as an idler rod) is a critical undercarriage component used in the track tensioning system of the Fits Caterpillar 953 crawler loader. The rod works within the track adjuster assembly to control front idler position and maintain proper track tension. This part fits earlier serial number 953 machines equipped with the smaller-diameter rod design; very late production 953 machines were upgraded to a larger rod.
