This tie rod tube is a direct aftermarket replacement for the front axle steering system on Fits John Deere (Fits JD) 4840, 4850, 4955, and 4960 tractors equipped with the Extra Wide Front Axle and 2WD configuration. The tube connects the tie rod ends across the front axle, maintaining proper wheel alignment and transferring steering input to both front wheels. Verify your tractor is equipped with the Extra Wide Front Axle (2WD) before ordering -- a separate part number is required for the Regular Wide Front Axle.
