This aftermarket replacement track adjuster assembly fits Case (formerly International Harvester) 550-series crawler dozers equipped with steel tracks. The track adjuster is a critical undercarriage component that maintains proper tension in the dozer's steel track chain, reducing excessive wear on rollers, idlers, and sprockets and preventing track derailment under load. Each machine requires two assemblies (one per side). This part is compatible with steel track configurations only -- verify your machine has steel tracks before ordering.
