This recoil spring assembly is a critical component of the track tensioning system on Fits Case (Fits Case/International Harvester) 1450B and 1455B crawler dozers. Mounted within the track frame, the recoil spring absorbs shock loads transmitted through the front idler and track, protecting the undercarriage from sudden impacts and maintaining proper track tension during operation.
