Caterpillar 4W-3027 Crankcase Breather

This is a new aftermarket replacement crankcase breather assembly for Caterpillar diesel engines, replacing Cat part number 4W-3027 (also written 4W3027). The breather vents the engine crankcase to relieve the pressure that builds during operation, filtering oil, water, and blow-by gases out of the air as it escapes.

Engine and Machine Fitment

Caterpillar lists 4W-3027 for the 3500 series diesel engines, including the 3508, 3508B, 3508C, 3512, 3512B, 3512C, 3516, 3516B, and 3516C, and it is also referenced on the 3208, 3608, C27, and C32. These engines power a wide range of Cat machines, including off-highway trucks such as the 777, 785, 789, and 793, D10 and D11 track-type tractors, 990 through 994 wheel loaders, 844 and 854 wheel dozers, the 24 motor grader, and SR4 and SR5 generator sets, plus marine and petroleum power packages.
