This hood gas strut spring cylinder provides the pneumatic lift support needed to hold the tractor hood open safely during maintenance and service. It mounts between the hood and chassis, using M8 x 1.25 right-hand threaded rod ends, and replaces the original gas spring on Case IH JX-series and New Holland TD-series utility tractors.
