This aftermarket replacement steering sector gear fits MTD, Fits Cub Cadet, Troy-Bilt, White Outdoor, Yard-Man, Yard Machines, Bolens, Columbia, Fits Craftsman, Huskee, and Ranch King riding mowers and lawn tractors. The crescent-shaped metal sector gear plate mounts in the front axle steering assembly and works with the steering pinion gear (717-1554) to translate steering shaft rotation into left/right movement of the drag links. Inspect the pinion gear (941-0656A) when replacing this sector gear, as wear on one gear commonly causes wear on the other.
