One New Aftermarket Replacement Blade Control Cable for MTD (Yard Machines, Yard-Man), Troy-Bilt, and More Walk-Behind Lawn Mowers
This operator presence (blade control) cable connects the control handle to the blade brake clutch on walk-behind lawn mowers. When the handle is released, the cable activates the blade stop mechanism. A worn or broken cable will prevent the blade brake from releasing properly, or may allow the blade to continue spinning after the handle is released. Fits MTD 200, 400, and 500 Series mowers built from 2001 to 2010.
