What You Receive
This is one complete deck gauge wheel kit for John Deere mower decks. It includes a single 5 inch gauge wheel along with the mounting bushings and the bolt and nut hardware used to attach it to the deck bracket. It is the aftermarket equivalent of the John Deere AM133602 Service Gauge Wheel Assembly Kit, which supplies the AM116299 and M111489 gauge wheel together with the adapters and bolts needed for the different deck brackets John Deere used across these machines.
What It Does
Gauge wheels, also called anti-scalp or deck leveling wheels, mount at the edge of the mower deck and roll just above the ground. On uneven lawns, dips, and slopes they keep the deck shell and blades from digging into the turf, which protects the grass from scalping and helps hold an even cutting height for a cleaner finish. Worn, cracked, or seized gauge wheels are a common cause of scalped stripes, so replacing them restores a consistent cut.

This kit fits John Deere X300, X300R, X304, X305R, X310, X320, X340, and X350 tractors equipped with 42, 48, and 54 inch mower decks. The same 5 inch wheel is used across a much wider range of John Deere riding mowers, lawn tractors, garden tractors, and zero-turn decks in sizes up to 72 inches, so it also serves as a replacement on many other John Deere machines. Specifications
The wheel is about 5 inches in outer diameter with a 5/8 inch center bore and an offset hub style. It has a smooth tread and a black finish and carries no bearing.
