This aftermarket replacement sun gear fits the travel final drive (travel reduction gearbox) planetary gear assembly on Fits Caterpillar 318B and 320B series excavators. The 7Y-1427 is the 1st-level sun gear in the travel reduction unit, transmitting drive from the travel motor shaft into the planetary gearbox to propel the machine. It is also commonly referred to as a sun shaft due to its combined gear-and-shaft design.
