This magnetic pickup (MPU) sensor monitors PTO and engine speed by detecting the passing of gear teeth near a ring gear or tone wheel, generating a voltage signal that the electronic control module converts into a speed reading. It is used in the PTO/engine speed monitoring circuit on a wide range of Fits John Deere (Fits JD) agricultural tractors, combines, sprayers, cotton pickers, and industrial equipment. The sensor features a 2-wire connector.
