One New Aftermarket Replacement Wood Pitman Fits International Harvester (IH) / McCormick Sicklebar Mowers
This hardwood pitman rod is the connecting link between the flywheel shaft and the sickle bar cutter head on IH and McCormick sickle bar mowers. The pitman converts the rotary motion of the flywheel into the reciprocating stroke that drives the sickle blade, and is a common wear item on these vintage hay mowers. Corresponds to position #12 on the Flywheel Shaft and Pitman Diagram for the No. 9 mower.
