This aftermarket replacement rewind starter (also called a recoil pull starter) Fits Briggs & Fits Stratton (B&S) 420cc 13.5 HP horizontal shaft engines. When you pull the starter rope, the rewind mechanism spins the crankshaft to initiate engine ignition. Replace this assembly when the engine is hard to start, the rope will not retract, or the starter will not engage. Replaces OEM part number 797747.
