This aftermarket replacement ignition coil (armature magneto) restores reliable spark to Fits Briggs & Fits Stratton (B&S) DOV and Professional series small engines used in walk-behind lawn mowers, lawn tractors, and other outdoor power equipment. The magneto armature generates the high-voltage electrical charge delivered to the spark plug to ignite the fuel-air mixture in the cylinder. OEM part number 796499 was superseded by 595554 -- this aftermarket replacement is compatible with both the original and superseded design.
