This Oil Guard (Oil Gard) module is an electronic control/safety module Fits Briggs & Fits Stratton small engines. The module monitors oil level and automatically interrupts the ignition circuit to shut down the engine if oil drops to an unsafe level, protecting the engine from damage due to low oil. It is used on Fits Briggs & Fits Stratton engines found in lawn mowers, portable generators, and other outdoor power equipment. Replaces OEM part number 187565GS and Lawn-Boy 212607.
