This chute rotate worm gear (part number 585196MA) is a direct-fit aftermarket replacement for Murray, Fits Craftsman (Sears), and Fits Briggs & Fits Stratton snow thrower models. The worm gear installs inside the worm gear bracket and controls the rotation of the snow discharge chute when the operator turns the chute handle. Over time this plastic gear wears out and the chute loses the ability to rotate freely, making this one of the most commonly replaced components on these machines.
