One New Aftermarket Replacement Distributor Shaft and Cam Weight Assembly Fits Ford Tractor
This distributor shaft and cam weight assembly is a direct replacement for the front-mount distributor found on Fits Ford (Fits Ford Motor Company) 2N, 9N, and early 8N tractors. The front-mount distributor sits directly beneath the fan blade and water pump, and applies to tractors with the generator/alternator mounted on the right side as viewed from the operator seat. The cam weight assembly controls ignition timing advance and is a critical component of the distributor's mechanical advance mechanism. Note: if installing with an electronic ignition conversion kit, modification to the magnet may be required.
Compatible Models
Fits Ford 2N, 9N, and 8N (prior to Serial Number 263843) -- Front Mount Distributor only
For tractors with generator/alternator mounted on the RIGHT side (as seated in the operator's seat). For front-mount distributor applications only (distributor mounted directly under the fan blade/water pump). Not compatible with 8N models after S/N 263843, which use a side-mount distributor.
