This aftermarket replacement tip-tamping foot (also called a packer foot or compactor foot) is a ground-engaging wear part that mounts to the compactor wheel drums on Caterpillar 825-series soil compactors. The tamping tips penetrate and compact the soil layer, delivering ground pressure, traction, and compaction in both forward and reverse passes. Tips are a replaceable weld-on style wear component designed for high-impact soil compaction work.
