This silicone battery heater pad is placed underneath a Group/Series 8D battery to maintain cranking power in cold weather. Cold temperatures can significantly reduce a battery's available output, making reliable cold-weather starting more difficult for cars, trucks, tractors, generators, and other equipment. This pad plugs into a standard 120-volt AC outlet and delivers 80 watts of gentle, consistent heat to keep the battery at optimal operating temperature. The silicone construction makes it flexible, acid resistant, and pliable for easy installation. Not thermostatically controlled - activates when plugged in and deactivates when unplugged.
