This is a solid state module that replaces the breaker points and condenser, turning an old points ignition into a pointless electronic ignition. It is sold as a set of two modules. It works with a single cylinder engine that uses a two leg or three leg ignition coil.
Made to fit many single cylinder two cycle and four cycle small gas engines. It crosses the numbers 8786, 8786R, 318786, 440-465 and 33-053, and it replaces the numbers 21119-2161 and 050409, so match your old module or your points and condenser before ordering.
Check your engine first. This is not for a battery ignition system and not for a charging or alternator flywheel, and you need one module for each cylinder, so a two cylinder engine needs two. It works best on engines about twenty one cc and larger. Many trimmers and chain saws are not supported, so confirm the fit before buying.
