This 3/8"-16 hex jam nut (also known as a hex lock nut) is a standard fastener used across a wide range of Caterpillar construction and heavy equipment. Galvanized zinc coated for corrosion resistance, this nut replaces Caterpillar OEM part number 1B-2578 and is interchangeable with cross-reference numbers 4B8399 and 5L4329.
