This exhaust valve seat insert fits the cylinder head of Caterpillar C-10, C-12, 3176C, and 3196 diesel engines. The insert seats the exhaust valve against the cylinder head to maintain a proper combustion seal, and is a direct replacement for OEM part number 1799453 (also referenced as 179-9453).
