One New Aftermarket Replacement Swing Motor Separator Plate for Caterpillar (Cat) Large Excavators
This aftermarket replacement separator plate (OEM part number 158-8982, also formatted as 1588982) is a critical component of the swing parking brake assembly in Caterpillar (Cat) large hydraulic excavators. Splined to the swing motor body, the separator plate works in conjunction with the friction plate to engage and release the swing parking brake, controlling rotation of the excavator's upper structure. Wear or damage to this plate can result in swing brake slippage or failure to hold position.
