This aftermarket replacement Rotating Group-Pump (Rotating GP-Pump) is a core internal assembly of the hydraulic piston pump used on Caterpillar (Cat) large excavators and heavy construction equipment. The rotating group consists of a cylinder barrel, pistons, and piston shoes -- as the cylinder barrel turns, the pistons travel in and out of the barrel bore to generate hydraulic flow. Rebuilding or replacing a worn rotating group restores full hydraulic pump output and system pressure.
