One New Aftermarket Replacement Top Compression Piston Ring for Caterpillar (Cat) Diesel Engines
This top (first) compression piston ring is a direct aftermarket replacement for Caterpillar OEM part number 1534101 (also formatted as 153-4101). The top compression ring seats in the uppermost ring groove of the piston and forms the primary seal between the piston and cylinder wall, preventing combustion gases from escaping into the crankcase. Made from cast iron, it is designed for use in Caterpillar heavy-duty diesel engines including the C16, as well as the 3406E, C15, and C18 engine families.
