This aftermarket replacement planetary gear (26 teeth) fits the swing drive gearbox assembly on Caterpillar (Cat) 318-series through 323-series hydraulic excavators. The planetary gear is a critical component within the swing reduction drive, transmitting torque from the swing motor to rotate the excavator upper structure. Three of these gears are used per swing drive unit.
