This aftermarket friction plate (also listed as a friction disc) is a wet brake and travel motor drive component used in the final drive / travel motor assembly on Caterpillar (Cat) hydraulic excavators. It provides the friction interface within the travel motor brake pack, helping to control and hold machine movement on grade and during operation. Replaces OEM Caterpillar part number 107-6954 (1076954).
