This steel steering clutch disc is a direct aftermarket replacement for the Fits Caterpillar D4 crawler dozer steering clutch assembly. The steering clutch system on the D4 uses a stack of alternating steel and friction discs to engage and disengage drive to each track, providing directional control. This steel disc is the reaction plate component within that pack.
IMPORTANT SERIAL NUMBER RESTRICTION: Fits D4 Series 6U and 7U up to Serial Number 26502 only. Verify your dozer's serial number before ordering -- this part does not fit D4 units with serial numbers above 26502.
